Autocrat’s Check-List

General

____ Signs indicating where things are located, including bathrooms etc.

____ If key elevator, troll should have key in case of emergencies.

____ Emergency numbers at troll (if not 911).

____ Yellow Pages available at troll for emergencies not covered by 911.

____ Chirugeon availability notice at Troll.

____ Ingredients list for feast (in case of drug interactions and allergies).

____ Lights or reflective markers for outdoor events, mark dangerous areas such as holes etc.

Mobility Access (Wheel chair, cane, or crutch)

____Ramps, elevators, or lifts for steps? If not, perhaps we can help with a solution (people available to lift someone into the building etc.).

____Are doors wide enough to allow room for a wheel chair/walker (at least three foot).

____ Handicapped Parking (we have signs if there aren’t any spaces marked at the site).

____ Changing rooms accessible to wheelchairs etc.

____ Bathrooms are accessible for wheelchairs, walkers, handrails or some other type of support. (includes Outdoor restrooms and Port-a-John) If there is no indoor accessible bathroom, can you get a handicapped Port-a-John or make other arrangements?

____ Can a wheel chair get to all or most activities? If not, can certain activities be moved if someone contacts you for these arrangements?

____ Can a wheel chair use tables for Feast?

____ Someone from Kitchen staff available to help wheel chair bound person if feast is buffet? (is normally unnecessary but it is a nice touch)

____ If there are Merchants, is there enough space between tables for wheelchair, cane, or crutch to walk through.

____ Is there a large enough space available for wheelchairs to turn around?

____Are pathways smooth enough for a wheelchair/walker to go down.(outdoor)

Court

_____Do you need a sign language interpreter? (Is someone in attendance hearing impaired and read sign?)In any case where an interpreter is needed please contact the nearest Porter to make arrangements.

____ At court, can a wheelchair/walker gentle be able to approach the crown easily

If not please let the Herald of the Court know so that their Majesties can make necessary arrangements.

* If the site does not have the above facilities and you either can or cannot make accommodations please indicate this in your event announcement. It is always the person with disabilities' responsibility to contact the autocrat to make accommodations.

**Some or all of these issues may be resolvable, please contact your local Porter to see what they can do to help.

Additional Information

Assistance Animals

*All assistance dogs are allowed by law for all gentles requiring them, see your sites rules for additional assistance. The following rules apply legally to Assistance Animals.

1. All assistance dogs must be legally trained.
2. All assistance dogs must be kept on a leash at all times.
3. All owners must be responsible for their dogs at all times, and any possible problems arising from any actions from the dog.

Children with Disabilities

1. Make sure that children are with an adult or are supervised by someone appropriate (depending on the severity of the disability.)

2. See if there are activities that the children can be involved in.

3. Is it possible to leave room at the back of the room for children with attention problems to be on the floor? (able to move without causing distractions during court)

Medicines and Medical Information

1. Does the site have refrigerators for storage if needed, insulin and other medications need refrigeration.
2. Is there access to information about hospitals in the area (phonebook or other sources) – this should be at Troll.
3. Are there any electrical outlets available for those who need it, people with asthma sometimes need ventilators. 1
